0 to 100 Crime Skill in only 74 attempts!

Today was the day I hit 100 Crime Skill in Card Skimming, having only taken 74 attempts to do it:

Successes: 71

Fails: 2

Critical Fails: 1

I actually over-estimated what it took as I still have 6 active skimmers, so it's possible to max this crime in less than 70 attempts!

Is there anyone out there who has maxed it in less attempts?

Yeah, the tip is to start right now. It's a total time gated crime and will take a lot of waiting. 

If you're not doing it yet, you'll just wait later.

R+ for OP... That's crazy low numbers. Do you recall how many details each skimmer had when you collected?

Did you end up doing gas station skimmers?

Answers to a few questions below.

My strategy was pretty simple, it was essentially:

- place 20 bus station skimmers and then pick them up when I had enough details to get to CS25

- then place 20 gas station skimmers and then pick them up when I had enough details to get to CS100

That would equal 80 attempts with a wiggle room of 20 to account for any failures, as my aim was to max out CS in under 100 attempts.

In reality I lost a few bus station skimmers but had enough overall details to still get to CS25, so I saved a few attempts not having to pick the lost ones up. I had around 200 details per skimmer. This part only took a week or two.

I also lost a few gas station skimmers and decided to replace a couple, but in the end I needn't have replaced them as those bad boys are super reliable generally and I cashed a bunch in when I had enough at over 2,000 details each which got me to CS100. This part took 238 days.

29,629 card details collected overall.

Right before I picked up the skimmers for both steps I churned out 50 consecutive graffiti crimes to hit a big crime chain.

The cool part was picking up the first 2,000+ detail skimmer and watching my CS rocket up by 11 levels at one press of a 4-nerve button lol.

The best tip I can give is to read Emforus' guide, as I used all of the info on there to formulate my plan.

If someone wanted to beat my score I would advise trying maybe 10-15 bus station skimmers to get to CS25, then placing 20 gas station skimmers and never replacing any that you lose. Then waiting until you get a stupid high amount of details on each skimmer (5k+?) and cashing them in. Or go hell for leather and wait for 1 skimmer to hit 29k details before just cashing 1 in to get to CS100.

I definitely think it's possible to max this crime in 50 attempts or less if done with militant detail and a humongous amount of patience!
