Discussions about suggestions often take place in the suggestions forum, in the thread where the suggestion is made. But... there are known cases about GD discussions which result in a suggestion.
Life would be better for the rest of us....?

Sometimes it helps to actually discuss the idea before fleshing it out into a suggestion to vote on. Then suggestions would be the place to put fully thought out and fleshed out idea. Asking for inpiur in a topic can add value.
