Gotta say that I am curious to see how much of OC 2.0 is missing on release. Considering Crimes 2.0 was worked on for over ten years and released with one crime, I'm expecting nothing.

Yeah, I'm not expecting that much as well. It'll probably be better than the current "plan and forget" thing in terms of... gameplay. But we really never know if 2.0 will reward enough for the "extra interactions" and "more factors" part.

I'm not going to yap any harder as I don't even have a one year of service badge, but I'm just taking the impending OC 2.0 as "a revamp to an existing feature that's coming soon", not like "significant improvements and changes to the gameplay style and factions".

Smells like a money grab.

Nerfing PA's means less in-Torn money being made. Less in-Torn money being made means players will need to pay with irl cash to make up the difference?

I have been wondering about the same. This is a numbers game, and the motivation for most players is to grow their numbers. Battle stats, awards, crimes, attacks and so on.

Why are some stats hidden? CE and level (when you pass 100) for example.

I am hopeful that they are going to start increasing the 'value' given for stuff like this.

They've made it very clear they don't want to put $450m into someone's pocket because it puts more cash into the game, but giving a stat enhancer (for example) puts no cash into the game. It gets used, or traded then used, but no new cash enters.

If every PA went from giving 100-300m to giving a SE (or equivalent value in items) it should make (mostly) everyone happy.

We had everything planned for 2023, with OCs scheduled for December the 5th, but after the unsuccessful Chat launch we were forced into, I'm very hesitant. There are 19 low/mid-tier scenarios implemented already, but I think we need more for a successful release, including some difficult high-tier ones. I'm happy for the team to keep working on OCs behind the scenes for a more significant and fully polished launch in 2024.

I don't know about all these, some things that come to my mind:

  1. OC 1.0 crimes are only about CE, while OC 2.0 crimes have CS factor added into it, so at least OC 2.0 crimes have 2 factors that matters, with that said, how do we determine which member matters most in the successful of an OC? The one with higher CE? Or the one with higher CS?
In 1.0 some factions split the crime income to several different percentages, with the higher percentage goes to the participating member with the highest CE, but how about the participant with higher CS with lower CE in 2.0?
  2. With CS comes into play in OC 2.0 how about some CS requirement from the Crime 2.0 that haven't released yet? It's interesting though if we need to leave some OC 2.0 because no one has any CS on them just yet.

  1. I dont see why CS and CE has to be hidden stats, but if i was in charge of making this new OC i would consider individual payouts. This would leave the faction leaders out of this, and the items/loot/money was distributed directly to each player in the crime depending on their CE/CS whatever.

1) Based on the info we have , CS will play a big part of it. And probably not only that , maybe driving skill as well as hunting. We also know that you need to some activities per person , i can only assume those "mini games" will be like current crime 2.0. And I think they also said that you will be able to know the success chance per crime. Based on that I can only assume you will split the profit based on the success rate / OC level of each team.
2) I doubt they will do that

And don't forget, Crime 2.0 generate more money than crime 1.0 per nerve, so it should be safe to assume OC2.0 will also generate more money(although you will be forced to use materials / tools )

This will make the market move around instead of passively making 300M per 8 days by playing 1 day every week

Still would be interesting to see which one is considered the heavier determining factor of the success of the OC, whether the CE or the CS ... =)

HT-Supermikk [108922]

Well they both correlate in some way. If you have high CS in everything you probably also have high CE.

I hope other skills like hunting skill and driving skill also gets taken into account.

Wenno [2757277]

I swear they have also said that in OC2 they will have a way to measure the success rate too, but maybe I am just making that up. Entirely plausible I did that.

Didn’t read through, but is the migration gonna be based on the account in question, or the faction in question ?

Hemicrania [2751434]

Agree! This would be in line with the game design.

If SEs start being rewarded from OCs, it might make sense to remove them from the pharmacy to eliminate their price floor.
