I make money with PAs, ranked wars, bank, company, some flying.
When I was a newbie I did a bunch of losses to get initial income started

Your goal right now is to get to level 15 by attacking basic leveling targets, so you can begin flying.
Eventually you will want to join a good faction and participate in ranked wars.
You can also get a job at an adult novelty store, which will get you some eDVDs. Those sell for 3-4m ea. If no one will hire you, consider doing a city job (perhaps education) until your work stats are high enough.
People do graffiti because they get merits for it, and to raise their skill in crimes so eventually they can join political assassination teams for organized crimes, which are quite lucrative
