Item market glitch

I purchased a Feathery Hotel Coupon from the item market for $8,000,000, which I assumed was mistakenly priced, yet on my log it states:

04:14:22 - 03/12/24 You bought a DSLR Camera on the item market from Lord_Farquadd at $8,000,000 each for a total of $8,000,000

Of course, there's no way I'd intentionally purchase a DSLR for that price, as it's over 3 times the market value (and it wouldn't have shown at the top of the list anyways).

Basically, attempted to buy a "gold chain", received a "DSLR Camera".

I was on the item market viewing the available "gold chains", the cheapest listing was by user "3207090", I switched tabs for a minute before switching back to the market (the market's tab never changed from viewing the gold chains), there was a new anonymous listing for a gold chain well under market value so I bought it, though the "item bought" prompt was for a "DSLR Camera" (purchased from the aforementioned user), I refreshed the page before thinking to take a screenshot but the log and inventory confirms that it was for the camera, the previously cheapest listing for the gold chain still existed but was now anonymous so the bug might've occurred when they updated to an anonymous listing.

Hi, for me similar thing happened with the Card Programmer - the items bought at the item market magically transformed to credit card after the purchase:

This happened to me too yesterday. I thought I was buying Sand but ended up buying Thimbles. Was on the Sand page.

I'm not sure what you mean by resolved.  It would be great if I could be credited a FHC if that's what you mean.

I think what he means is “have you accepted your lot in life and begun to appreciate your new DSLR camera?”

I don't often buy much from the Item Market - so I'm not sure what set off the glitch.  From what other people have said, it seems to be fairly random.  It has not happened again to me though.  Yet.

Could I please have an Admin credit me a FHC?  I don't know if the bug is fixed or not, but I would appreciate the consequence of the bug addressed for myself and other players on this thread.

Considering it's a legitimate bug that has affected a number of players, might I ask why items will not be credited?  What's the threshold for doing so?

This is yet another sad example of the lack of transparency with Torn admins, which helps to erode the trust of the playerbase.

Why wouldn’t the players affected by the bug be credited with any items? This seems like a pretty major bug that is at no fault of the players.

So.... Because of a bug caused by the game, the users lose out on money, and you basically tell them to get f*cked and they won't be reimbursed? 
That's kind of bullshit. It doesn't affect me personally, because it hasn't happened to me, but that's pretty shitty. 

I would think at the very least they should credit you with the $8m you paid and remove the camera

Well, I’m out 300m (or 600m, depending on your perspective) from an RR bug that was confirmed, and still “waiting” to be made whole, so I’m used to it :-/
