Is there anything special that needs to be done to maybe get the chance of finding a gold key? This is my 5th Christmas Town and I have yet to find a single one. Tons of gold chests around. Makes walking around extremely frustrating.

Keys are rare, gold ones are rarest. That's all it is. I usually find one per year, but I use the script that highlights finds. Keys are tiny and they often spawn behind something so there's 0 chance I'd see …

The maps....
I've found them on the main Christmas town map and endless road map
Don't forget the spawn rate may have an effect on the keys too
My loot spawn rate is 85%
I have no issues finding keys. I've found 11 so far this year. It's just I've never found any gold.

I also suggested to make as many keys as chests , witch would be like normal , there are zilions of chests laying around and that would make the game more exciting to all
