At about 02:04 TCT I clicked onto a combination chest.
Had 2 goes at it then I magically appeared in jail.
This is the second time this year its happened.

There’s something definitely wrong with the chest they disappear as you walk towards them this is super obvious with bronze chest only they legit vanish as you walk towards them

This would happen if an NPC sent you to jail. Chests can spawn in locations where there are NPCs who can override what you are currently doing on a tile. This is not a bug.
That is probably because someone else claimed the chest or it de-spawned. Bronze chests are global spawns, they are not specific to your account (like Combination chests). If there are other players around you, they can open the same Bronze chest that you are viewing.
