As Realteel mentioned, Read Baldr's basic advice. It is a valuable guide for the beginners. And then you should learn as much you can from the tutorial section in the forum. There will be lots of doubt and you need to painstakingly search in the forums for the answers. This is a long term game and that is what interesting. Even players in the higher level rely on knowledge search to advance in the game.
Unlike other games, there is no single goal to be achieved. Leveling to 100 is not the goal. You will eventually grow up and find your own play style and then decide what will be your goal.
As a green leaf, You need to advance to level 15 as soon as possible. First focus on your battle stats and then hit as many inactive targets as possible. This will take you to level 15 in few days. After 15th level, you can fly and make a decent money.
For now, do not go to casino, do not do slutting and try to be as active as possible.
