I have two reds just over 1b in my bazaar. They sell like shit compared to jacks and m4s because no one wants slightly more accuracy over 20+ less damage lmao. 

IN rounds are multiplicative so it's adding minimal damage to a low dmg weap.

Think of it this way, disregarding mods and the like, the M4 has 57.5 acc vs M1 67.5, that means you'll hit an additional 10% of the time vs someone of your own spd (for ease of calcs, this is also where spd has the highest impact as the further apart your stats acc efficiency decreases). In a 25 turn fight, assuming you reload twice (average 2 bullets spend per shot for ease, rough estimate w math edus and no other bonuses), that's 12 shots fired and ~8 hit. M4 has the same ammo, so you still get 12 hits in, but you'll hit 7 instead of 8 times.

Now, since the most recent damage change (ie, no more dmg multi/yadda yadda), visible damage numbers are a direct  multiplier of what you can do - so with the damage of an M4 being 61.5 and the M1 being 41.5 we can (very much) simplify this to 8*41.5 vs 7*61.5 for you average expected damage (we can ignore str/def for the purposes of comparing weap stats) - that's 332 vs 430.5 damage in this theoretical "average" fight, meaning the M4 edges the M1 out by just less than 30%. 

Now if you swap speed/dex ratios around, this gets a lot worse for the M1 - if you have 5x spd vs their dex, then you're looking at N1 having ~88% accuracy vs M4 having ~84%, meaning that 10% difference is now down to 4% lol, every other fight (+/-) you'll now get an extra hit in, but you're still losing that ~1/3 of your damage per hit - the same works the other way, should you opp dex be 5x your spd, then you're looking at ~25% chance M1 vs 21% M4, which is the same (~one extra miss every 2 fights)

If you're concerned about hitting, you're better to use temps (mela, pepper, smoke) over a high acc weapon in most cases, getting the spd:dex ratio closer to peak efficiency vs a dex whore is much better than trying to find the most accurate weapon while sacrificing damage. There is a balance to be had ofc, giving up 1 damage point for like 40-50 acc would be great, but overall it's not worth the trouble lol - if you're interested in reading more take a looksee at this prox post here in response to the dbk/mac debate (a tale as old as time lol, less relevant with all the different bonuses and temps nowadays but again, gives a baseline to work off of). 

..ofc this is all oversimplified, but you get the idea, strip away all the extra bullshit and you can see how each individual piece of the puzzle works.

That is a lot of math 🥺 I get the idea but.... I can't help myself. I like high acc weapons 🤷‍♀️ Especially if the higher damage but lower acc alternative risks using an entire magazine in one hit. Then you also have to factor in a reload.

Jackhammers do yeah, but they're like +30 damage. So paired with a recoil pad, you shouldn't need that much ammo to finish a fight. Especially if you're running like Expose with a laser or Eviscerate for damage.

The jackhammer has the best damage.   The super is the best rounded.  The ithica is the best for special ammo 1 shot like applying eviscerate with tracer rounds.  Also a good warlord weapon for plucking out of hospital,  the tactical can do this too but damage is really poor but it's cheap.   The mag looks nice but is really poor imo.  Has the worst ammo use and white the stats are nice you just can't get more than 4 shots.

The problem with shotguns is you most always need the choke and pad to make it useable and even then it always has poor ammo and lower power than a rifle.  I would only spend high on a super or jackhammer but I'm done buying shotguns.  The blindside fight tim posted somewhere looked cool though.   Shotguns are nice for bleed eviscerate and rw hospital plucking.  They can be used for more for less money than a comparable rifle but it's not because shotguns are as good.  It's because they are cheaper. 

M1 with pad & choke. Just need the dot to set. Works well. If I Bleed on low hit  very easy to replied on larger hit. I bled person 3 hits in a row. 

I sell them... i buy in bulk and sell the high quality ones, to both new players and high level seasoned players.
