Stealth attacks

Ive been getting mugged occasionally by someone, I lost a significant amount to them so far but they always show up as "someone" how can I find out who it is?

Not after the attack is already completed. There's no way to reveal stealth if the attack is not in progress.

The only thing you can do is

1. Have someone sit in your attack loader page, when someone initiates an attack on you there's a box that will list out the actions taking place in the attack where their name will appear.

2.  You can have someone intercept the attack by joining it or if you're being attacked you can attack someone else during theirs and it will break stealth. Attacks with more than two people can't be stealth so it will break anonymity.

3. Package a parcel with a small exlosive device, keep a tab open with your items. Once you realize you're being attacked, switch tabs and open the parcel containing the SED. It will explode sending you to the hospital and they will be unable to complete the attack thus, you will get an event with their name saying they tried to attack you and failed. 

Obviously if its sporadic and random, its not realistic to have someone sit around waiting for an attack to figure out who it is. The SED method is probably too expensive for you to be worth it given they cost anywhere from 4-5mil.

 You're better off just getting better at keeping no money on hand. The only reason they have to mug you is if they're gaining something from it. Take that away, and they'll likely find something or someone else.

Set up your attack settings so that you are almost guaranteed to throw a tear gas grenade on the first turn of a defend to reduce their Dexterity (if they aren't wearing a mask that protects them from it). That'll greatly decrease their chances at Stealth if the fight takes a few turns.

Additionally, buying & equipping a Light Mod for your weapon will decrease the enemy's Stealth by -2, -2.5 or -3 per turn that it's used which can quickly reveal your attacker. Combine that with a tear gas or pepper spray to give an immediate debuff to their stealth, or use smokes/flashes to try and keep the fight going so you have more chances to use your light mod.

Besides that, as mentioned, there's an Education course you can complete that reduces an opponents Stealth, and working in a Music Store or Hair Salon provides a perk that further reduces opponents' Stealth.

Lastly, speaking of Company perks, players in Music Stores or Theaters have access to a perk that gives them guaranteed Stealth if they win and it was a solo attack.

As Shooby said, once they get a good amount of money from you once, they tend to latch onto you for a while. Carry only what you need at that very moment, and then, even if you never find out who it is, you can at least revel in knowing you're wasting their energy mugging you for scraps.

Thanks for all your help everyone, whoever it is probably just put a cheap bounty on me for being a "forum crybaby" so thats fine, I'll let my faction members grind the bounty off me and just keep small amounts of cash since their only ever benefiting like 1-2k per mugging now. Thanks again.

Avoid having money on you whenever possible.  If they mug you and get nothing, they will move onto the next person.

Use a ghost trade, faction vault, stock purchases, or item purchases to temporarily keep your money safe.  If you are buying or selling in the item market you are potentially helping muggers to find you and time their attacks.
