I tried out chat 3.0 and my chat box just went away. Help?

Dsla and I debugged his issue and found that his local storage was full, specifically due to some entries from the Battle Stats Predictor. After clearing local storage, the chat successfully switched to v3. Instructions on how to clean local …

Having same issue except it’s on PC. Only way to bring the chats back is to log on my phone click to switch to chat 3.0- wait for it to work on my phone and then click to switch to chat 2.0 (on phone again) then refresh pc page and chats come back. Will try the incognito thing in a hour. I believe issue is something to do with multiple tabs/devices playing torn.
Same here. Staff said clear browser and cache but that didn’t work either.
Same for me chat disappeared as soon as I pressed chat 3.0 ,
Play on pda normally
cleared cache turned off all extensions scripts
Delegated cookies
also tried on safari also private tab still nothing

Are you seeing any errors in the browser console when chat crashes?
I'm having chats I closed reappear if I switch to a cached tab that had different chats open on it. Refreshing fixed that. Can't replicate on browser bc it uses live page, caching is mainly a (well documented) issue on Torn PDA. But does replicate if I switch browsers and change which tabs are open.
May be related?
Also getting multiple chat announcement sounds when having multiple tabs open on PDA. Cannot replicate in Chrome, so appears to be due to how PDA handles tabs. May affect multiple windows, but idk if it would have affected multiple windows in chat 2.0 so I cannot give any feedback for that. Will confer this info to Torn PDA devs, just adding it here so if someone else has this issue they know it's not from Torn :) update: affects Torn app too. Two chat message sound sif multiple tabs opened and chat has been opened so it has its own bubble icon at the bottom. Happens whether chat is expanded or minimized. Doesn't seem to happen if chay is still in the people tab only.
Anyone reading this (with chats showing but having other issues):
If you can't find faction chat, close all your personal DMs, long click on faction chat and drag it to the left (on mobile - not sure how to do this on desktop).
No everything else works as normal no errors of any kind
I will ask Kostya to take a look. I have checked the migration system for each player who has reported the issue so far, seems to be working fine on my end.
