Ive reset my merits twice now, and i notice it increases each time, ive looked but i cant find out if it caps out or what it even increases to next

It cost 500 points for the first reset and continues increasing by 250 for each reset after that. This caps out at 5000 points.
Additionally every player gets a free reset around Christmas time.
