There's a few old school home remedies that you can do that will help remove the flem from your lungs . Has to be measured off size and body weight so you'll have to look up what's best for your body type . Sorry I can't give exact but without knowing your size / weight I can't give a proper recommendation

Lung tonic herbal medicines are designed to support lung and bronchial health. Here are some options:

Are you saying that you smoke, are having lung issues and don't want to give up smoking?

Because if I said how do I stop a ship sinking without plugging up the hole you would think I was being silly.

I'm not trying to be sarcastic or funny but if this is the situation you are describing then you aren't looking for a scientific answer

I mean you don't want to die from some supplements and herbal stuff but you  don't want to give up smoking. It is almost like you decided, guys I picked how I want to die, smoking it is.... but I wanna postpone it a bit. Sounds funny, sorry about that.

Hope you find what you are looking for, good luck.

Is visiting a doctor for advice totally out of question for this matter? And if so, why?

Sure they will recommend just stopping smoking, but is cutting down on smoking also totally unthinkable?

Phasing it out until you do maybe 1-2 smokes a day versus uh… maybe a pack?

Looking for medical advice online, and even worse, from Torn inhabitants doesn’t really scream “what a great idea” to me.

Glad that you are concerned about your health though, I stopped smoking last year, since it was simply a way of escapism. And in addition - smokers stink :/

Vaping, hands down. I haven't smoked a cigarette since January.

The trick is to get a 48 and 24 mg nic salt to start.

On your first day, right before bed spend an hour just tapping the 48 every couple of minutes even though it's harsh and doesn't taste great. Slow down on hitting the vape if you get the hiccups or your body starts to feel weird bc that's a sign of too much nicotine, something you've likely never experienced with cigarettes but is easy to get with vaping.

I woke up craving my vape and haven't smoked a single cigarette since then.

After that, rotate between the 48 as needed for nicotine withdrawal and the 24 for maintenance. Work your way to 24 as your main, using the 48 just for when your first wake up or after you've been in a smoke free environment for several hours.

Eventually the 48 will be too harsh to hit and you'll just be on the 24.

At that point get a 6 mg freebase liquid to switch to over time. It will take a long time to get to 6 mg so don't try to speed run it.

Let your lungs heal on the 24 first & get used to vaping for a few months before trying to decrease.

I use nicotine to manage my autism meltdown symptoms. There is no cure for autism, or any medication treatment for autism symptoms. However there's been some studies showing nicotine can improve some autism symptoms ("irritability" and "aggression" aka meltdown lol). So I'm not trying to quit completely, just be on a maintenance dose so I can function without breaking a load of dishes bc my sock feels funny 😒

it sounds like you've developed asthma or the start of COPD. You might need an albuterol inhaler.  Or possibly a nebulizer.. Of course, you'll have to visit a dr. to get the actual medicine that makes it effective.

Vaping has its own issues. Theyve gotten better with all the shit they put into them. & I've heard there's less chance of catching cancer from vaping than from cigarettes. But the vapes are still harmful to your lungs & weaken them in a different way.

Last time I quit, I started using the Breeze vape pens.  I thought I'd be good with the blueberry, but I actually ended up getting the tobacco flavor. I was successful in stopping vapes & cigs after about 6 months of vaping.. Even though I still subconsciously find myself reaching for one sometimes, if I'm drinking or just finished a good meal.

Most doctors. atleast here in the states, they are eager to prescribe nicotine patches if you ask & tell them you're trying to quit.. But unfortunately for me, the time I tried to use them, they gave me a rash & a crazy headache for some reason..

I used to smoke 20 a day. I tried vaping but it used to make me cough. Then I discovered that the propylene glycol was the culprit so tried a version with a lower percentage and could smoke it fine.

As an experiment I tried a nicotine free version and found that the process of smoking whenever I wanted was enough to handle the cravings. Before I knew it, after a week, I would forget to take cigarettes breaks. By the second week I would go whole days forgetting about the vape and not being concerned by it. At which point I just gave up and haven’t thought about smoking since. I think 10 years now. I should say,  that I also gave up sugar at the time so was craving doughnuts and sweat treats more than nicotine, which must have helped a lot.

Yes nic salts are the way to go for half pack to pack+ a day smokers. If you take the time to associate nicotine with the vape with a hardcore vaping session to start, the transfer can be instant (no guarantees but this is what worked for me!). I legit woke up reaching for my vape the next day and didn't think about cigarettes again. It's been 4 months now I think?
