    Well I stand corrected then. I've always seen everyone recommend doing it twice a day, I've not seen logs showing you can go >24 hours until now. Good to know

I've prayed 15 days in a row and still no forgiven merit. 

 

What am I missing? is it 15 torn days in a row or is based on my local day and time?

The chain breaks after 24 hours, you've got at least 1 in there then I stopped looking.  It's usually recommended to pray 2-3 times a day so you make sure not to miss it.

my understanding is that it's within 24 hours of last prayer, but only 7 days which grim fulfilled according to his above logs.

  • According to Ched, you have to ensure you pray at least once in each 24 hour period, rather than once per day.
  • Players who have gotten the honor recommend praying two times per day to ensure you're hitting the 24-hour counter.

Chedburn admitted in the comment that he didn't know. Lol.

 

I don't remember the specifics, but it's certainly not 'each day', it'd be more like 24 hours I imagine.

 

I can confirm it is each 24 hour period of the Torn clock day, counted from 00:00 to 00:00 of the next day. I was not wearing rosary beads as I did not have them at the time.

Maybe, but all of those bug reports for it not triggering despite praying daily but not within 24 hours have to come from somewhere, and additionally this made the "not a bug page". If it wasn't true I would expect it to have been removed within the several years since it was posted, and just because ched didn't remember the spcifics at the times doesn't mean he was wrong.

It has been confirmed that you need another prayer after the 15th day too though. Most of the older merits require another event to trigger the merit.

Ok so If I'm lucky I will get it tomorrow, if not I'll have to start doing two prayers a day until it hits.

The description has been deliberately kept vague, which is why Ched also did not mention anything specific in the bug report. Players have figured out the general specifics on their own but it does not mean that the award is given based on player defined requirements. Basically, if you do not have the award yet, you are doing something wrong/inadequate. At least 10 players have successfully triggered this honor bar today itself.

in case anyone is curious... finally got the merit today. Here is my full prayer history.

 

So its definitely not 14 consecutive torn days. 

 

Seems best approach is pray twice per day to avoid more than 24 hrs between prays, as mentioned above.

..im pretty sure i got my forgiven by gifting the church 1 million... so anything that makes the priest think you are holy enough. And well, a new private jet, warm the priests greedy heart a lot more than a smelly praying bum.
