2. Join a faction, listen to their advice, torn is not a solo game
3. Make money so you can train to make yourself stronger (flying after level 15, ranked war participation)
4. Find your playstyle (mugging, item market, legal torn services like placing bounties)

There's this learning method called "Comprehensible Input"

Basically watch this video on loop. You'll become a beginner at around 50 hours, intermediate around 150-500 hours, advanced around 600 hours, and really get solid at it by 1,500 hours.

I'll never know but I would think being funny, witty, and maybe even toxic? Have good story telling skills. Know all the gossip. Make up drama. Spend years to get gud? Have meme and shitposting skills. Have thick skin and comebacks. Expect to be hated and bounty the lower your days played.  The more you try to force it the more likely get the opposite reaction. I think. I'm no expert.
