Introduce a Trading Post - a centralized system where players can list trade lots containing 1 to 10 items. These listings would be publicly viewable, allowing others to make custom offers using cash, items, or a combination of both.
How it works:
-
Players create "Trade Lots" of up to 10 (or more or less) items
-
Other players browse active lots and submit offers (cash, items, or both)
-
Lot owners can review and accept the most appealing offers
Why this would be a valuable addition:
-
For traders: A streamlined system to showcase multiple items and receive competitive offers without constant manual negotiation or forum bumping
-
For collectors: Easier discovery of rare or specific items bundled together, potentially at negotiated prices
-
For new players: A more accessible introduction to bartering and item trading, lowering the barrier to entry for participating in the economy
-
For weapon and armor sellers: An efficient way to advertise sets or bulk inventory to reach a broader audience and receive mixed offers (e.g., partial cash, partial items)
This feature would enhance Torn’s trading ecosystem by promoting dynamic bartering, increasing item visibility, and encouraging creative deal-making, especially for players rich in assets but low on liquid cash. It adds depth and usability to trading without replacing the existing systems.
