go earn it ya dweeb.

You're not capable of running a faction nor should you be trying. Take your weapons back, sell them, junk your faction, join a training faction and invest the 50 dps worth of money you probably wasted and got ripped off on buying into training and growing more income.

Better hope you didn't spend 1.1b on a bunch of bunker bucks junk or base weapons lol.

Bumbi [3177056]

At your level I wouldn't even worry about stocking your armoury with weapons, it won't make much difference. Focus on battle stats and recruiting players.

Farbauti316 [3755992]

A level 3 with a diamond bladed knife and combat armor will beat a level 10 with 5x battle stats if the level 10 is poorly equipped. This is a huge advantage for factions with money vs factions with active members

Shooby [2510470]

You think that now, but in a game that's long term, you're doing nothing but harming your own account and your members accounts if they care to progress and I'd imagine anyone who plans to spend months-years invested in a game does.

If you go through the testimonials of a lot older players who explain what they wish they could've done differently from the start; the #1 thing is not doing exactly what you're doing right now.

But hey, it's your time, it's your money.

Edit: also I'm not shitting on you, I told you the truth and gave you advice.  If you're that sensitive you're not cutout for the game or the internet.

Begging in a public forum is embarrassing and against the rules of the forum, so be grateful people are giving you advice instead of just beating the shit out of you which happens to most beggars.

LegendaryKing11 [2804919]

I do really recommend you to join a faction and grow your account first before trying to run a faction. Learn the game, build your networth, build connections.

To be honest starting a faction with little knowledge and networth are a disservice to both yourself and the people you recruited. A 7k respect faction offers nearly zero perks. You are also not in the game long enough to offer good advices to your factionmates in how to grow their account. RW profit is bad at unranked-bronze, so it's rough for everyone to build their networth and stats.

You can stock up your armory with enfield, macana and full body armor. They cost cheap and are pretty effective already. Armalite/diamond bladed knife/combat armors are the next tier. DO NOT BUY any RW weapons/armors for now.

Farbauti316 [3755992]

Thank you so much - I'll be sure to keep an eye out for enfields and macanas. Also random question.. is a faction with 15 members above level 15 better suited for war than a 25 man faction with levels 1-20? How important is it to have members above level 15 when you're starting out a faction?

You may not understand as a new player, but the amount of you guys that come into the forums with no clue on what they are doing is insane. For some reason, noobs think it's the smartest idea to start their own faction/companies; it's not.

You're free to do whatever you want, frankly I don't really care. But, it's a bad idea and you're also hurting many other new players by doing it. With no experience, you're not going to be suited to leading a faction purely because you don't have any experience/knowledge. Secondarily, perks are a massive massive help and can also really, really hurt your future if you don't have them.

Things like rehab scales harshly, and in the early game you should be taking advantage of your low rehab bill. But instead you have a faction with basically no perks, with 13 other people who are also clueless, also being hurt by your decision of starting a shit faction. Most likely, those 13 other people will get bored of the game and quit because they don't really know what they're doing. They have no faction to guide them, probably no reason to get invested, nobody to look to to show them what they 'can' do if they grow. All in all, it's just a noob trap that benefits nobody.

This far into Torn's life, there's hundreds, maybe even thousands, of factions that have over 1m respect that would take pretty much any account that signs up to Torn. If you really want to start a faction that bad, be a member of a well-running faction first, play for a year so you know what you're doing, and then buy a decently established shell so you're not ruining accounts.

As for your other comment regarding levels--level 3 and level 10 has nothing to do with it. At that point, level makes basically no difference and it's all to do with stats and their ratios. Level is just health, and it's 150hp vs 375hp. It's a 1 hit regardless. Use the money to grow, go be a member of a faction first.

Armour above combat is worth it when you get far enough into the game: if you have $20b available, spending $1b on a better loadout to help you win more fights is an easy choice. In the early game it doesn't really matter as you'll barely be able to beat anyone anyway. Also listen to more experienced players - don't start your own faction! Message me if you need advice

Level100Coochie [2983838]

shooby might come across like they're just shitting on your idea, but they spend more time answering noob questions in the forums than almost anyone and it's almost always really good advice, even if it's not said in a tone that makes you feel warm and fuzzy. This is no exception, I continue to play from behind many of my peers bc I also ignored this kinda advice and spent my first 9 months here trying to grow a baby faction.

I don't regret it fully bc I had fun at first, but I do regret sticking it out as long as I did and investing as much as I did in it. It's ok if that's fun for you, but if it's not like, a BLAST then it's not worth it bc you can have fun in factions that are already well run without damaging your account potential or wasting resources- and you'll learn more than you can imagine playing with folks who have been here decades already.

you miss 100% of the shots you don't take

Lol imagine responding as a new player to anybody's game advice, but especially to Shooby of all people.

Consider the following: if you were ready to lead a faction, you wouldn't have had to whale 50 DPs to get it going.

Mong [3401450]

I bought a set of riot gear early on, doesn't do shit if your stats are poor. Invest in the gym dude and get into a good faction with perks. You had a go at  running a faction but from one noob to another just junk it for now and work on yourself.

Some of the unwritten Torn rules... no begging, no crying, no whining, and definitely don't talk down to players who have as much invested in this game as Shooby. He might sound like an asshole, but he was just politely saying what we were all not so politely thinking. And he was absolutely correct about it.
