War Scripts

Context* Currently in a war with people and I'm noticing odd things like someone who's offline in the hospital suddenly popping online, medding out, attacking, then hosping themselves in less time than me refreshing and attempting to click attack on them via the war page. This has happened on multiple occasions where I'm spamming F5 and trying to catch them coming out and in less than a second they're already back in the hospital. 

It's obvious scripts are being utilized by the enemy faction and I'm curious on 1. Are these even allowed? 2. How do you compete against it without scripts? (I'm legit F5ing the page over and over and they're medding out, attacking, and hosping themselves so fast that the second I see them up and go to click attack they're back in the hospital) 3. If the scripts are fair then where do I find these since it seems you really need scripts to fight scripts in these wars.

Also I have TornTools and have tried the stakeout option on people, but I see no alert or anything. What does stakeout even do? Is mine broken lol xD

Edit: I play on PC, I utilize multiple tabs, and I even mentioned I F5 spam. Maybe some people just have faster internet or a better optimized browser? I run Firefox was curious what browsers others utilize? Also want to put out if you're not scripting then damn you're good so take it as a compliment. At kelvalrogh you're right I wasn't thinking of you at all. You were one of the few I could hit unless ya'll jumped me. Good learning experience though. <3

Occ2 are pretty well seasoned in RWs is all. Been quite a few ‘larger stat’ cache farms who have ran into that very same wall. It’s quite amusing. 

Being better than you doesn't mean they're using scripts. I've done this exact thing lol all with just tabs. Could be faster with split screen I bet.

Not my fastest med + attack + self hospital but I also had lofty goals and low enough stats to fly under the radar. I waited until all the bigs were idle and then wham bam thank you ma'am. Self hosp to avoid retal 😈

I think December/January is when I started using this tactic. Looks like it was about 10 seconds to get through first attack on med out. I'm faster now that I've refined my technique & have bigger stats. Let me see if I can find some more recent logs, although it may be difficult since most of my recent wars have been with smaller stat factions.

Update 2:

Was only able to find one with 8 seconds from med out to attack finish plus 1 second to be killed, so here two series of logs ending with hosp:

Conclusion: be faster.

This has probably been the best compliment you could have given us.

I'm guessing you guys aren't used to fighting wars, instead opting for termed wars/deals when you can. I think that not only because of this post, but because your leaders seemingly refuse to accept the outcome.

I hope you don't get me wrong, it's a fair strategy, and I have nothing against it, but it does keep you away from the reality of warring in torn.

In reality, it's quite easy to hit a target and get back in hosp unharmed. You just have to be quick about it. I can assure you that I personally use no scripts to help me with that.

The faction in question is Occul2us. No need to go clicking through. No tricks. No scripts. Just good old fashioned warring.

I know he is not talking about me. I play mobile and generally im too slow to use the tab over option... and I fat finger attacks all the time end up on player profile screen instead of attack screen.

All of the above and as for stakeouts:

Putting a stakeout on someone does not give you a notification the moment they med out, at least not TornTools. TT will make an API call every few seconds and will notify you if their status at that moment is different to what it was during the last call.

That means if the player is fast enough to med out, hit you and self hosp quick enough to all do it within that few seconds TT does not see any difference in their status.

(Well, it can see a difference in their hospital time, but only after everything happened already and there is no way to tell if they were out of hosp or just extended their stay.)

Example 1:

XX:XX:00 API-call -> target is in hosp

XX:XX:01 target meds out

XX:XX:30 API-call -> target is out of hosp -> you get notified

Example 2:

XX:XX:00 API-call -> target is in hosp

XX:XX:01 target meds out

XX:XX:29 target self hosps again 

XX:XX:30 API-call -> target is in hosp -> TT does not see a difference to XX:XX:00

It's still possible to use multiple tabs on mobile. Preload the attack page, med out in another tab, switch back to attack and after the attack just switch tabs again to self hosp.

prob being when you preload attacks when in hosp it comes up with warning you cant attack while in hosp.

I always have to refresh the attack page.  how do you get that part done correctly please?

Practice is what you need.

Join a RW faction that actually wars, not just trying to make quick cash.

I used to be slow at it, but now I can sort of keep up with Tuga at it. 

Sry, I was unclear there. You can't have the attack button show without refreshing the page. You'll have to reload. Shouldn't take much longer than a second though.

On Desktop just click the window to focus it and then press F5 to reload the page, it's easier than finding and clicking the refresh button in your browser.

Well rogue, I'm flattered. Excepting maybe Schrod, you guys are really slow.

Dang ya'll toxic lol I was just tryna figure out wtf was going on. Find it amusing that you're tryna say I didn't have multiple screens up and wasn't spamming F5. Literally playing on pc myself.
