I've done my time at the helm of Elimination leading. Burning a hole in my phone and getting side-eyes from my team at work. Sleeping like a crack addict. Sacrificing hit prestige to work out deals to prevent my team from being targeted to annihilation. Helping to reach 1st or 2nd, only to be rendered a forgotten cog of the system after the 15 seconds of fame in the Torn Times, where sugartits got my name wrong. 

Unless you are Mongarch, having manipulated into leadership across six teams, then getting to laugh all the way to the end with your buddies in discord -- unless you're that, leadership in Elimination is stressful. It's unforgiving. It's sleepless. 

Without leadership, your team is doomed to have one of those loser fates like those Pirates in 2015 who had their ship sank in 12th place. Only memorable for how bad they were. Fools, ship is right in the name.

This year players will be able to vote for their sacrifice to lead them, less than 2 months from now.

So, where is all the campaigning? Where are the Vote for MeanMike and Stretch for President chest pins, or Say Uncle forum banners?

Being the first to launch a discord channel might not cut it this year. We need to see American-style, ugly slander campaigns way ahead of anyone even thinking about the vote.

I want to see Champion's image grey-out with a red-print stamp "eats puppies". Hold nothing back unless it's against the rules.

I want slander, emotional manipulation, corruption, and free stuff. Yes, bribe me for my vote.

So, where are all the campaigns? This is perhaps the greatest invitation for drama Torn has ever received from Ched and...   crickets chirping.

Is it that, perhaps, no one wants to lead because it's a miserable, thankless, role?

If you don't want to lead, no problem! Campaign for someone who's September you want to ruin.

Ched said they were taking a year away from  it and it would return in 2025. They are doing all the development to get it ready, which they've always done leading up to Elim

We're supposedly 2 months away and they're not confident enough to put it in the calendar. With a lot of dev effort still focused on arson for all of this month. But elims will be all ready by September? Press X to doubt.

I always come from penetration, wasn't even a second thought.
