What’s driving the price of points down??

there is a steady decline that can be seen daily in the price of points. I’ve got my own theory but interested in other people’s suggestions .

It can’t be related to demand as we’ve seen with edvds it should go up. Is the supply too high? At some point the price of points will be below of the cost of a set of plushies or at a point where it’s not profitable.

The museum is also pointless (no pun intended)

Even on museum day its not worth exchanging any set (not just plushies and flowers)

Even a full Senet Game Set or Quran Scripts are not worth the exchanged points value

If the price of points keeps dropping, it means people, especially new players, don’t find it worth paying 6K per 1 energy. Happy jumps or filling the bank is much better investment for us.

Let’s look at the current CE of energy sources:

  • A Xan costs 840k for 250E → 3,360 per 1E

  • A Donator Pack is ~800k for ~200E daily (if you’re active) → 4,000 per 1E

  • A point refill is 936k for 150E → 6,240 per 1E

The cheaper they get, the better their CE becomes.
The better the CE, the more new players will start using them.
Eventually, the market will stabilize on its own.

But, plushie prices aren’t dropping at the same rate.

what doesn’t help is that someone comes on to sell points and completely undercuts the market. Then someone else comes on and undercuts them, so on and so on.

been watching it for a couple of weeks and the price is dropping because of it.

It's always been like that ever since they removed the sell back.

What's driving it down is the new influx of players trying to make it. Over 70k daily players without purchasing power trying to make ends meet with flying.

Subtig [3420869]

Surely plushie prices should also drop then??

do they need to introduce a new way of new players to make money instead of just flying??

Knirt [3033570]

New players flying for money because it's the easiest thing to do.  Some of them try trading and use flushies because they know them better from their flying.

Most don't have the education to exchange into points themselves so they try to buy low and sell high.  The trading between newbies keeps the flushies prices a bit high because of speculation and a lack of understanding as well as the fact that it often makes money even if the full logic says it shouldn't.

Points drop faster because the market is the only place to sell them.  Yes you can add them to a trade but that's not a realistic option most of the time.   The problem is with points being worth less than the flushies the people who can exchange full sets have no incentive to do so just to lose money.   So the flushies continue to build up and trade between speculators keeps going.

We need a new use for flushies and or points.  Or we need something else newbies can buy overseas beyond Xanax and grenades that make good money.

If they had other options the surge of flushies would decline.  Points would stabilize and the value of both would increase.   I thought they would do this with OC items but they haven't to any meaningful level.   Also with the time and small quantity of oc items being used its not enough of a solution without reworking the oc payout a lot as it would change profitability and risk too much.

We could really use another desirable and popular consumable to buy overseas.   At the current rate with all the new players I don't see an end soon.  It's hurting the new player experience and is getting out of hand.   If new players start to see entry into the games economics as near impossible less will continue to play.

So. Stuff like energy refill is last thing you want to add to training because of energy value.

New players are not super rich and they do flying.

Then they undercut eachother.

Traders don't want to keep stuff dropping in value.

And thats about it. Self feeding cycle. Aka snowball effect.

Refill is still better than the 2nd or 3rd xanax of the day, because you have to pay rehab fees for them at some point. (The first xanax of each day is mostly negated by addiction decay)

Over9K [3666945]

Please its simple math 1.1m/250, 3 secs with calc.

250e for 1.1m is 4400 per 1e...

And that's if you consider each xan as 1.1m, and its NOT the case, only players with 1000s of xan taken need to pay so much for rehab.

CockyNudist [2209950]

Rehab costs go up to like 4.3m+ per xanax taken, and while any rehabs done now are cheaper right now, they also push you closer to those extreme costs. So while there is some consolation in that you aren't paying those fees right now, if you plan on playing until you reach late game you will be eventually.

5m xanax = 20k per energy late game

I guess you could argue that you could earn more money with the money saved using 2nd/3rd xanax while they're still between 4.4k each and the cost of refills, but you'd have to be either really good at turning a profit with your saved money, or really slow at gaining more addiction, for it to be better than using your refills every day.

Over9K [3666945]

Im not talking end game, not even mid game, they do daily refills anyway.

Im talking early game, all the new players that joined recently that don't stop flying but not doing refills themself.

I don't think that any new player should waste his money now on refills instead of xan just because he want to have cheaper rehab bills after 6 years of playing. You should plan ahead in torn, but this is ridiculous.

CockyNudist [2209950]

New players can also make 2m off selling losses with their daily refill, and unlike xanax it won't have hidden costs down the line in the form of rehab fees. All I'm saying is that everyone should always use their daily energy refill, it's always worth it and there are zero downsides.

And how many ppl active having thousands of xanaxes? You can get rough estimate watching numbers and other stuff. 😁
