My event time will start at 16:00:00. I think I know the answer but just to be sure, if I travel to South Africa tomorrow at 13:00:00, and start to hunt at 16:30:00, I will not get the x5 bonus hunting XP right?

Tiger day specifically you can fly early and hunt after the event starts. (Afaik most other travel related stuff like carry capacity is different and gets determined when you fly out.)
yea, that is why I tho8ght it would not count for tiger day. So I can fly before the event starts for me and still get the x5 xp? and I assume if I travel during event, but land after the event is over I would still NOT get the bonus xp? I guess different than tourism day where it all depends when you travel out

Correct - all that matters if whether you click on the hunting button during the event window or not. How you get there or when you get there is irrelevant :)
