Why there have been plenty of opening to become a staff member but the last opening to become a member of the player's committee has happened 4 years ago?

 

Although in those 4 years some people have joined the committee without official applications being opened

I would assume these are people who applied and they've slowly reached out over the last 4 years.

Maybe not.

I'm not actually sure the committee's role anymore. They used to be a player representation, but I havent seen a committee member engage with the community in ages outside the same few two or so players.

Whoever is in charge now is doing a STELLAR job. GD has been so engaging and intellectually stimulating.

I feel like it would be kinda nice to have a committee newspaper article come out once a year or something so we can see what they been talking about and a bit of insight into what might be exciting/frustrating different members on the committee. committee are supposed to be representing the player base so would be nice to get some feedback instead of ultimate secrecy on pain of death

 

i also kinda feel like committee should maybe be decided by the players rather than staff, with staff being able to veto people they don't want for the same reason as its supposed to be us being repped
