not sure how this all works, but i know i could get a job that pays better the basic ones they offer and pay $250 a day for.

You are not even in city job right now. If do education, become principal, boost job stats. Plus makes education classes faster. Take classes, work stats go up. City jobs are not bad. Plus can take more drugs for train than can in company. Build up stats to become better able to be hired by good company. Takes time and is grind but worth it later.
