Stop trying the harder crimes, go back to the easy ones.

A critical fail removes XP and levels, and the harder the crime the more likely they are to happen if you haven't built up enough experience with the easy ones first.

They are listed in order of difficulty - search for cash being the easiest, scamming being the hardest - start at the top and work down.

I did that only and there were no such critical fails i had around 300 success of pickpocketing but dont know what happened. How do i report it to torn team

Crime skill does not just reset out of the blue. Check you logs and you will likely find where you had a recent failure.

As Indy mentioned the crimes are tiered in order of difficulty.  You need to build up your crime experience before tackling the harder crimes otherwise critical failures will continue to set you back.

It’s not a bug, try to do easier crimes like search for cash, bootlegging and graffiti to build up crime experience first

losing 20 level is crazy!

screenshot your logs of losing the levels like this:

but you usually only lose one level at a time

20 to 1 is a bit of a stretch considering his highest Pickpocket level was 17…and it was at 8 yesterday.

There must’ve been multiple crit fails.

Look in the top right corner of your pickpocketing screen.

You will see something like this (but with different numbers of course)

Green = successes = used up nerve, gained XP and skill level progress

Grey = fails = used up nerve but nothing changed

Red = critical fails = lose XP and levels (20 times more than that crime would have given on a success)

Pickpocketing is different to other crimes - EVERY difficulty of target is available from level 1.

A critical fail on a hard target (like the police officer etc) will lose WAY WAY more than 20 successes on an easy target (homeless/kids/etc)

pickpocketing guide

Seriously - there is no bug here. Do easier crimes first.

Follow the advice you've been given from the higher levels :)...

And you've most probably also chosen not so easy targets targets to "pickpocket" and also keep in mind to have the enhancers for each crime :)...

Easiest targets to begin with is the skinny ones or ones who's stumbling or drunk...

But again you've been given advice - use it lol...
