Because it's not my literal job to police Torn? If I ever want to though, I'll submit a staff application but until then, I'm not going to go chasing after forum pledges and playing hall monitor.

Just going to post a fedding I think might have been missed in this thread, since they probably were not in a faction at the time. It looks like they just logged back in to try and RMT what money they had left after previously quitting.

Only reason I spotted this was because they are on my enemies list for creating an attack target list that had active players on it.

Seems to have been quite the forum user, too. Surprised I couldn't find any mention of it. RIP.

Thanks kind anon. It was mentioned, I just missed it since it was in the high post rate lead up to page 1000 and some reignited drama. Couldn't find it via forum search as no one actually posted the name or account ID outside of a screenshot which doesn't show up in results.

I'm just looking for a little accountability, if thats absurd to you, then ok, I guess, lol. WW's own allies are willing to bet they do it again, but sure, lets just act like its only Mike that has concerns... thats just dumb. 

In closing, "Its a game" is what people say to minimize shit behavior, usually on their own parts, but even games have rules and I'd just like to know that this particular one isnt gonna be broken again. 

Its crazy the people that are showing up aghast at that notion, lol. Like I'm asking for a miracle or something extravagant. Nope, just "hey guys, tell us no more of that bullshit, ok?" 

This isnt political, its a valid concern that at some point will involve most of the game, hell, a LOT of people in M/WW dont wanna take orders from a banned player, lol.  but hey, you guys just keep your heads in the sand and we can all pretend I'm the problem and not the actual cheating.

I personally, and i know that at least most if not all board members had no idea ovo is dav or dav is ovo or alex is dav and ovo f**k me i didnt keep up with whos who.

Neither dav or alex have board perms, and if you were staff you could have seen that i personally havnt chatted with dav or alex in my life as dar as i remember, not ingame and not in discord, let alone WW issues.

Yeah it may be a big surprise to everyone but none of us actually knew this and the ones that did are either fedded or the ones that snitched.

Was digging around for nostalgia's sake and noticed that the former leader (DwayneD) of the first faction I ever joined ended up fed for RMT. Sad to see, he was a nice guy. Guess I dodged a bullet by moving out beforehand, huh?

Also when are the forum bans gonna fly for off-topic conversation, it seems as if someone didn't learn their lesson.

So in that WW council channel, after Ovo was fedded, months ago, Ovo never was actively involved in any sort of leading or running off WW ? 

You know his discord handle is HT, and I think we both know that he was in fact VERY involved in running M and WW, even though you all knew he was banned. So for you to roll in here trying to deflect like that is what is "quite frankly pathetic" .. we arent f**kin stupid, lol

The issue at hand isnt whether ya knew he was on Davs account, Einstein, its whether or not you knew that he was continuing to run M and WW even though he was banned from the game.

I dont know any of you guys, so I gotta take what you say at face value, trust that youre being honest that you didnt know, but unfortunately M has a reputation. 

Look at it from outside perspective, anyone in M leadership definitely looks suspicious regardless of actual guilt/innocence/ignorance.

The graved thread was, tbf, a derailment thread without a solid topic. I don’t think it should’ve been graved, but I also don’t think that a poll in FD asking “should M leadership (with those 4 names you listed) make a statement saying they won’t let Ovo run things behind the scenes in Discord” (or whatever) would automatically end up graved as well. 

I just tried to make such a poll, but apparently thread creation on mobile is buggy (can’t see all icons unless I turn my screen, but then I can’t get the link creation to work), so if anyone else wants to try, have at it.

For what little it might be worth as a somewhat parallel example, I'd like to chime in as somebody who was in Unrelenting for what I want to say was almost 6 months (or however long it took me to get from like 3M to 320M total) before the faction was deleted. I often saw the general Torn population accusing Zahid of using multis, and I wrote it off completely as jealous slander; with the amount of time I saw him invest in himself on his proper account, it seemed impossible someone could also be managing more to any useful degree. All the accounts that were Zahid in the end felt like individuals, they talked to us and to each other in faction chat as normal people would. I never once got the impression anything was suspicious or wrong about anybody, or had the thought "those two guys talk alike," when in reality I was in the middle of a one man circus. I had put my heart into that faction, and my reward was feeling naive, duped, and foolish. 

Other shortcomings aside, I'm honest to a fault, I value integrity extremely highly even in game settings (especially this one), and I prefer to imagine I'm not completely retarded - but I was in the middle of a cesspit I wouldn't ever have wanted to associate with if I had known better, and I had no clue. The idea that "everybody had to know X/Y/Z about this" after the truth comes out is purely insane. I'm extremely grateful that staff were fair enough to realize that, and that I got to move on to a family with actual integrity where I could learn to trust again. 

Cheating is sub-human garbage, it ruins the game for those of us who play it right. If someone has a suspicion, they can and should report it for the marginal chance that the suspicion is true and the report helps staff get to a point they can address it. It tends to come too rarely and belatedly, but it's much better late than never. It's wrong to assume guilt by association though. It's not like cheaters can just announce to hundreds of people that they're cheating and expect not to have a single person screenshot and report what they can. The most serious offenses wouldn't occur if the perpetrators weren't good at concealing their steps.

Yeah, you guys over there really went through it. I'm glad you managed to bounce back and find a solid home after that mess. 

Don't be so hard on yourself though. I've often said that Zahid was a superpower short of being a full-blown super villain. I dont think anyone knew quite the extent of wtf was goin on over there until it all came out. 

Let me be clear, I could buy that roughly only 1-2% of the WW leads knew Zahid and Ovo were playing on shared accounts, but CR knew Ovo was Dav months ago, when "Dav" woke up outta nowhere and did more war hits in the RW with CR than the actual Dav did in his entire Torn Career combined. We were immediately like "Holy Shit, Its Ovo !" but ok, we can just go along with the idea that anyone in M who looked at the hit reports from that war didnt notice that Dav went from a months long inactive do-nothing, to a well-oiled CR killing machine in one day ..... Sure, ok . lol

But whats not debatable and is the crux for my recent posts is that many many people knew that Ovo was banned and still running M and WW as a banned player.. Ferretts post hits it square on the head as to why it was allowed, and I like to think that if i was really that far outta line for wondering if that would ever happen again, he woulda dragged his furry testicles across my face and said as much. 

I'm not outta line for having that concern half as much as some of these people are, for NOT having that concern.
