Everyday for a few days now when i try to log on to the website the code for the two factor authentication doesnt work. Today its taken about 5 attempts to get onto the website. Can someone look into this please?

MFA is all algorithm-based, so if it works "sometimes" then it works.
That said, as you know it changes every 30 seconds, and the algorithm does actually use your system time to determine what code to show - if your system time is even slightly off it will further limit that 30 second window.
Make sure your device's time is syncing online.
You can also try removing it and re-adding yourself here https://www.torn.com/preferences.php#tab=security and see if that helps at all.
Ive never had a problem with it before until the last few days. I receive the code and i put it in but it simply doesnt accept it. I then get another code but that one doesnt work either. Maybe other people have had some problems with it.
Are you using an MFA app, or email?
Im using Email and im using firefox web browser too.
Hello - can you please try switching to an authenticator app and see if the issue still persists? This may be a case where the code is delayed by your email provider and it is expiring.
What is an authenticator app? Im on a pc not a phone.
You can do a web search for 2FA authenticators, such as Microsoft Authenticator or Authenticator for Chrome.
I think i'll just turn the two factor authenticator off!
We do strongly recommend keeping a form of 2FA for account security purposes, but that is your choice. Perhaps you can try again in the near future to see if anything changes. I am going to close this report for now, but if you re-enable your 2FA and the issue persists, please feel free to file a new report.
It's 2025... If you're not using an authenticator app for your bank, facebook, instagram, gmail, twitter, and everything else... you really need to catch up to 20 years ago. Your online security is horrendous.
Im not on any of those things you mention and of all the websites i go on this is the only one that ive ever come across that requires an authenticator app! I have no issue with using added security so long as it actually works properly which it didnt hence why i made the initial post in the first place.
