Hey fellow criminals

I’ve worked on a small quality-of-life userscript for Organized Crimes 2.0.

The script adds a “Weight” box under each role in the OC panel, showing how important each role is for that crime.

Example

How it works

  • The script checks the OC name.

  • If the OC has weights configured, each role box will get an extra line below showing its weight.

  • If there’s no data for that OC/role, nothing is added.

Credits

  • Huge thanks to Emforus for organizing all the OC information on his site: CrimesHub.

  • And to joecappa for turning that data into a visual forum guide, which sparked the idea to make this into a userscript.

  • And now to Allenone for the amazing API to support the script.

Installation

  1. Install Tampermonkey (or any other userscript manager).

  2. Add the script from this link: OC Weights Under Roles Script

Hope you like it!

Hello, appreciate the shoutout, small correction though:

Huge thanks to Emforus for collecting and organizing all the raw OC information on his site: CrimesHub.

Data collection wasn't my doing, it used to be ages ago when the entire thing was manual, but then Allenone automated it and I've been relying on it since. All I do nowadays is organizing things and making them look pretty.

Same as above, role weights currently available in CrimesHub were done with the assistance of Allenone once that part was also automated.

It'd be nice if you could give him a shout as well :p

In any case, cool script!

Unfortunately the weights for the "Imitator" role for all OCs doesn't show.

Your script, and CrimesHub lists this as "Impersonator" so perhaps the role was renamed?

Also, your figures are not up to date:

Perhaps @Emforus could provide the weight roles on a plain text / JSON webpage, that your script could retrieve to ensure the figures are always up to date.

Do you think you could provide the OC / Roles in a plain text / JSON format, on crimeshub, that JohnNash could retrieve to ensure all figures are live?

@OP Added /api/GetRoleWeights to my API. You are free to utilize it, and maybe familiarize yourself with some of my other endpoints to make your script dynamic and future proof so it doesn't require future maintenance for your hardcoded values.

I've launched a new version with some fix's on the weights of some roles.

@Allenone, what is the source of your API?

Allenone [2033011]

I'm my own source brother.

I know you're new to the space- but I'm the person who collects and maintains all of the OC data.

Does the free script work? I’ve downloaded it on safari and it just opens as a blank screen with tamper monkey_latest data 1.3mb on it. I’m new to adding scripts.

Now this is useful! Perk_Ryan's tables were invaluable early on but it's nice to see an automatically updating (thanks to Allenone's API) script that shows it right on the page you're looking at.

Feedback:

  1. Could this be merged with the OC Success Chance script (two different authors but perhaps something could be worked out)
  2. On TornPDA, it takes up a lot of screen real estate. Makes scrolling the list of OCs a little more awkward. It's not terrible but I'm wondering if you couldn't merge this in with a smaller font somewhere on the existing space? The OC Success Chance script referenced earlier put its number in a small, unused area and that worked really well.

Here's a screenshot for anyone who wants to see it working on TornPDA.
