Is there a guide / website i can go to that shows me how to make those translucent backgrounds for signatures? I really want to mess with that!!

I got it to kinda work. It wont display tho entire image tho. I left it on my profile so you can see. Any suggestions?
Are you looking for it to display as an entire background that you can then overlay text and other images on top? or do you just want to add an image with a transparent background onto your sig area? (Two different things lol)

Just so you know you'd be better specifying that you want it to span the entire width of the area and repeat for the length (obv this depends on the image you use, sometimes you want it to repeat both ways or not repeat at all and instead stretch to fit or shrink to fit depending on the original image size and pattern of it)
For yours Ygaria use this code and it wont cut off the side and restart the pattern at an odd placement:

Yes effyxo I would like it to be a background I can overlay other things on top of! BUT I would also like to know how to make an image with a transparent background too, that would be useful to use them together.

Well you would use something like Photoshop, GIMP, or Photopea to create GFXs with a transparent background.
Exactly what Hurry said in regards to the making the actual images, you just make it transparent by having nothing in a certain area of the image and then export it as a PNG.
Your current background works as is but because you have nothing in the signature there is no background area to fill basically, currently it would extend with whatever you put in there so if you had a bunch of text and images the background would extend larger to give the whole thing a background - if you for now at least just want it to display you'll need to set a specific size on the height so for instance:

(in this one ive set the image to cover the whole area which means it will stretch to the size given for that length of 800px - you can adjust that px number to whatever size you want the length to be set as) depending on the image you have it might be better using what I mentioned above for the background repeat so it seamlessly repeats itself as needed but test that out and play around)
