GD Afterdark

G'day Torn,

I have had an idea rolling around my head for a few weeks and would like to share it with you. It will probably get shot down in flames 🔥🔥🔥More Fire 🔥 🔥 🔥. But if on the off chance you guys see some merit I will make my second ever post in the suggestions fourn.

Anyway, getting down to business.This idea is just that we have an anonymous GD.

GD Anon

The name is not important but it's the idea that we could have discussions where we are all anonymous. We could say what was really on our minds without being concerned with the politics or other repercussions that real honesty can bring into a debate or discussion.

My hesitation would be the fact the there are many people that would try to exploit this format for whatever advantage they perceive that they may be able to achieve. However, I do believe that it could be possible to create a layer of moderation that would allow an anonymous GD board to be feasible and not controlled by trolls.

I often find myself having opinions that I would love to share on different topics in GD but I do not because of political or other reasons. If I could post anonymously I would share my opinion. Sometimes I just like to play my cards close to my chest.

I kind of expect the community to be negative towards my idea because of the potential for abuse. 

But what do you think. Could we have an anonymous GD sub forum???

Would you support a general discussion forum that was completely anonymous (except to staff).

Where you could post anonymously.

abuse would sky rocket followed by feddings for abusing people in the forums who would then have their antics outted in fedded archive by admins when people complain why

I think this is a likely scenario of if it was not moderated properly.

With that additional introductory layer of moderation when it was introduced. The people that wished to abuse it would soon learn that just because they are anonymous to the Torn public, they are not anonymous to staff and they will be dealt with.

Might be a good way to get some idiots forum banned.

You'd best hope there is something else rolling around in that head of yours cause if this is all you got up there...

Your leader is a clown and you want a way for people to post and not to have consequences with their actions..

I like gd the way it is, I like the fact you can comment on this post and have a different opinion or just say I'm wrong..

If this was anon you know there would alot more abuse being thrown around..
