So I have been reading through the awards and honours, I have come across one saying 'survive a Torn reset' I have done some research and after many people coming to the conclusion that the servers are much better now that the will not be another reset. Does that mean that this is no longer achievable? If that is the case 1 more merit that can never be gotten?
Thanks for taking the time to read.
It's possible. Torn is a lot more stable now than it used to be because it has evolved to mitigate these situations over the years.
Anything that prevents a rollback, is good from a development and sustainability perspective. It's not impossible for it to happen again, but it would likely be the result of something very serious.
It's unlikely to ever happen again.
Ignore its existence pretty much, would be unfair to make it purchasable too as at the time it happened we lost a full week of progress when the servers were rolled back to the last uncompromised version and the merit was received instead of any refills etc
It *could* happen again but a lot more checks and auto flagging of suspect stuff that itd get caught usually immediately
