I've been playing for about two weeks, I've oded on a xanax building energy for baldr's, an ecstacy (so a failed attempt at a happy jump) and on the very first day when completing the starter missions, how much have i been set back by shitty luck?
My stats are currently around -50% because of drug addiction
Is this normal?

Did you never play the Sims? Right now, you are a new Sim and some bastard has given you a full range with no cooking skill. Also, if you look over, the pool has no ladder... Take it slowly...
Perfectly normal happens all the time ull overdose less as u keep playing
It is normal when you are in a noob trap faction with no perks, yes.
You're in a faction that has literally no perks so kinda.
You should ditch that faction and find one that has gym perks and toleration perks which reduce the likelihood of overdosing by up to 30%

Yes, that's normal.
Can add Dead or Alive but sometimes requires a little "do this for a week or two then apply" to show they're on the right track.
-50% addiction is the worst. you should go rehab
you won't be able to have education like that, and no company will want you.
even at -5% or 6% already have a chance to be kicked from edu.
