We recently accepted 83 new members (new to us and new to torn) in our war break. Can someone explain the math behind the decay if we kept all new members and had to endure the full wait to be able to enlist again?

The wiki explains it pretty well. You'll be sat for 10 weeks, then lose a rank per 2 weeks until you reach your hidden rank. This is probably somewhere in bronze/silver, given a faction basically full of greenleaves.
I spent sometime watching our matches go up/down. our optimum size is 79 members and below.
Thanks, greenleaves luckily have a short halflife so many of them are probably on their way right now. It also coincides with our break. Tnx, I missed the rank decay addition in the wiki when I last read it.
