The worst run of luck I've had was spawning 12 of the wrong tier in a row (although that isn't the norm), and that is before you then get into the "which of the crimes in the correct tier will it actually give me".

We haven't run out of scope (yet) but came close a couple of times - if RNG had also cursed us with a cluster of failed OCs at those times we could have done though. And that was without us skipping any "trash" OCs.

I am more annoyed by the combination of not having an easy way to see which faction members are suitable for each scenario/role and no way of reserving/restricting spots for suitable players - spawned an OC which isn't suitable for anyone right now and will despawn before they finish their current OC? Tough luck. If they are going to leave it as this "grouped RNG" spawn instead of more control, then simply having them manually despawnable (with just a 1 scope refund) and not automatically vanishing would help both situations.

Does anyone know. With the new OC item armory. Does it automatically use items from that armory or you still gotta manually send that stuff to people?

Gotta send. But you can use 'loan' perms instead of 'give' that way members can safely get their own items to save another admin task for leaders.

Reviving thread!

News article mentioned the first three chain OC coming this year, before Christmas! How are the OC managers/Factions leaders feeling about this? Do you think you will have a team ready or will you take a more cautious approach and not attempt it at all until you have seen it done by someone else first?

Just about all anybody can do is to keep trying and see if that can be made infectious.

I think anyone part of leading these needs to continuously manage expectations, keep excitement up, learn and relearn everything that there is about OCs, all while resolving how to coach people into better CPR brackets. Much of that doesn't even need to include just OCs but the larger lens of crimes themselves.

"How can I best support this player on the team?" feels like such a lingering question for us, at least within CR.

It has huge impacts for OCs, player (and faction) finances, socialization, and builds a stronger faction by raising players up. Torn's constantly been about always working toward for something you may not even fully know the conditions of yet. Min-maxed CPR for most outcomes on X crime? What about Y upcoming? How do I push this crime skill higher? Can I raise this crime skill over here? How or why? If this succeeds, what does it enable people to do? If we fail, how to do mitigate that? No new crime changes that operational duty, just raises new questions.

Managing an OC team is equal parts effortful as it is rewarding (for me). I think it's also crucial to do that in a team environment because doing any of it well and alone at scale would be pretty shitty unless that's all you did when you logged in.

A takeaway based on various tips and hints passed around? T10 won't be regularly achievable for at least 6 months for high success making it worthwhile; it has skills for unreleased crimes that will need to be launched and augment CPR, and throwing ourselves against that wall will probably be low-reward at first. It may even later get a buff because if it's anything like other crimes (no need to doubt that) it's going to be a higher fail rate, use a ton of material items, and make the player base question their existence. Won't stop us from trying it out, I'm sure.

I'm curious to see how they link the levels and if this will be a bigger jump (2-4-8) or sequential levels like the previous chain crimes were.  Other than just looking forward to another release, we will need to wait and see the chain to see what it holds. Bidding war is a bit of a drag honestly considering the 6 person requirement and what appears to be higher difficulty, yet no average $/p/d increase.  So hopefully something like that does not repeat, but I'm definitely excited about the release of more OCs either way.

Anyone have any difficulty comparisons between "Leave No Trace" and "Guardian Angels?" And what stats/metrics are measured for both?

We have released a new chain scenario Pier Pressure under the Elaborate category.

Looks like there's an issue with the calculation of the Reviver role's CPR. I have alerted the devs about it.

I hope there is an issue with the revive role indeed.... please tell me those years wasted as a reviver where not for naught
