Maybe a dumb question but I remember that if you get a special drop from Moal or minions, that you have that special ability until the next time he is summoned. If he is summoned multiple times, will the first receivers be shit out of luck?

As he has only been summoned once, no player will be able to answer this, only higher up staff and they still may not tell us until it happens.
Ched made conflicting statements in their announcement after last years event..
He says they wither once the NPC they were dropped by is summoned again, while simultaneously saying they last a year.
I plan to make the following changes to relics...
- A relic's effect lasts until the creature from which it was obtained is summoned again, after which the relic withers away.
- When a relic loses its effects, it transforms into a withered variant that serves as a permanent collectible.
I am still interested in releasing new relics each year. With relics being restricted to a single person at a time and only lasting a year, that does mean we can get quite wacky in the future — which will be fun
I would assume since he also said he really wants the hype behind relics and for them to be valuable, that they will last the intended year they're supposed to. I can't imagine they'd void a relics effect if they were summoned again in the same event duration. He initially wanted them to be permanently active.
so can he be summoned more than once per year?
This year they can! According to the Newsletter.
