Dont want to be pedantic but it's 5 GRAMS, not mg. Loading phase isn't required but it speeds up overall saturation. 5g is also an old standard, if you're over 200lbs, you'll benefit more from 10-15g daily than 5g.
General advice from a 5-year lifter - The most important thing you can do is show up to the gym. Doesn't matter how optimized your workouts are or how great your diet is, the biggest thing to focus on is being consistent. A terrible workout is infinitely better than no workout.
As far as training style, I do 4-6 working sets per muscle group per workout. Bigger muscles like chest will burn out in 4 hard sets. Biceps, rear delts etc can take more abuse and recover faster. Also, don't focus too hard on shoulder press, front delts grow a ton from incline benching. Don't neglect or forget about rear delts. I take every single working set to failure, i believe that it's the best way to grow.
Eat some carbs asap after a workout. My go to is 2-3 bowls of cereal but you can eat candy, drink a Gatorade, whatever digests fast and easy. If you want to be healthy, eat some white rice or cream of rice. xojxstin had some great diet advice a couple posts up.
