Sorry if this was suggested before

Currently having a laptop lets us do virus stuff abroad but hear me out. What if we could also buy/sell stocks while flying or in other countries? This way muggers will have a hard time mugging and all the destinations will be much safer 🤔

  • There's a 15 second grace period in which players can't be attacked upon arriving at a destination.
  • Other players may see where you are traveling to on your profile page, unless you are in a 10* Theater, in which case your traveling status and location will be hidden.
  • There is a variance of 3% on flight times, this explains small discrepancies in the flight times you might notice.

 

In addition to the above, you can use bloodbags, ghost trades, and your faction vault to safely store your money between flights. You can also use traders to safely offload your items instead of risking having to sell anything in the item market yourself. You can also use the Clothing Store special for mug protection to make you less attractive to potential muggers.

 

There's a plethora of tools available to keep you safe from being mugged. As someone who regularly carries billions on hand, anytime I've been mugged it's genuinely been my own fault. I don't think there's any problem with Torn's mugging mechanics. If anything I would say that muggers don't have it easy enough to the point that they have to use scripts and tools to remain competitive.

why would you carry billions overseas? there is the cayman islands, but the most money i have is the 14m or so for xanax. id get mugged for about 750k. not a huge loss. it isnt nothing, but nothing extraordinary .
