Hi everyone - I know what you're thinking from the title - this must be a fun side project, right? Well you nailed it.
While we patiently wait for Andyman's latest diversity rankings, I thought I'd look at the other end. When considering all 14 Public Hall Of Fame Leaderboards, who are the power houses and who's really #1?
It's BodyBagger. Of course. And he still gaps the competition. Depending on the circles you live in though, you'll probably see some new names. Before I explain it and lose the 5% who read more than the title, here's the full rankings and data so you can look yourself up, and your faction.
Disclaimer: You must be in the Top 25K players of at least one of the public HoFs to quality.
Oh, and I'm sure no-one is surprised that Monarch HQ has the highest aggregation of the top players either. Maybe you are surprised by the others though!
Now, let's get into the details on how it's calculated and a quick note on why it is done that way.
- The Top 25K Players and their rank are retrieved for each of the public HoFs via the API: level, busts, rank, travel time, work stats, networth, revives, defends, offences, attacks, awards, racing wins, racing points, racing skill
- For every HoF a player ranks in, the inverse of their ranks (1/Rank) are summed together to create a Elite HoF value. This means 1st in one HoF is worth 2x 2nd in two HoFs, 3x 3rd in three HoFs etc.
- The above value is converted to a score where 100% = 1st place in all 14 HoFs to max 100% the best anyone could do. This is used to rank everyone against each other, but also gives people a way to set personal goals that are just about their own progress.
- A Faction's Elite HoF score is then calculated from every player that was eligible is added together. This again is normalized against an ideal 100% score that represents a faction of 100 people where they have someone who is 1st in all, someone who is 2nd in all, ... all the way to someone who is 100th in all.
Now quickly on the why - notably why I use the inverse rank when, for example, Andyman's diversity report just sums the rank with lower = better. There are 2 key reasons: 1) Someone's Elite rank would get dominated by a single bad HoF rank - for example 13 1sts and 1 #25000 would be ranked way lower than someone who got 1000th in 14 HoFs, which is really weird. 2) It doesn't behave well when you expend the # of HoF ranks consider. My cut of is currently 25K, but if I change this to 100K people, many peoples ranks in the top 25K will completely change.
The spreadsheet (look yourself up, and your faction) also has some extra fields you can explore, such as was the player active at all in 2025 (there are some high ranked in-actives), what the players best rank was across all leaderboards (Andyman is the highest ranked without a 1st), and how many HoF leaderboards do they currently qualify for the Top 250 merit (ChristmasBazaar and M3G47HR0N tie for the most here with a staggering 11)
