I witnessed an organised smear campaign against Marcinko and it was ODB that kept appearing again and again, even people that didn't even have accounts when the last elim was ran repeating the talking point, I have no doubt at all that they're to blame for the massive amount of PM abuse he was recieving and which led him to decide to pull out.

I left team Punchbags yesterday, they made us helpers send out ODB/OBN list of candidates picked by someone behind the scenes which obviously was effective based on most vote turnout. After JD left, it broke any trust I had left for the voted leaders. Well played, first elims experience was a learning one.

No predetermined finishing order, no final two deals, no anything but a good old fashioned traditional alliance that some people were part of and some werent. Yet, he calls it a rig...
Theres actually an alliance on the other side that is winning pushes and has an actual chance to make it to the final 5 together are they rigging also?

Spoiler: Teams working together, especially only to a certain point in the comp, with no agreed upon finishing order is NOT a rig.

I mean, I applaud both you Michelle & Stretch. Your concocted plan to rig your Top 2 finish is genius. Very well done. Pity, not every team will believe these words and will be cannon fodder whilst you both climb to Number 1 & 2 finishes.
Whilst every player talked of Monarch members/Leads doing so, they have been blind to see that an ousted Chain Reaction Leader for his verbal abuse of women & a Natural Selection Leader(again of whom said ousted CR Leader attempted to unite in his CR/PT alliance to overthrow the Monarch regime) has trumped them all.

Qfiffle dodging the bullet on this one though it seems, for she knows her involvement. What motive she has throughout is unclear in itself.

In all of the elims that have occurred they have never worked together or been in alliance together!

They have probably never even spoken to eachother before and are just hearing about one another now!
I've only taken place in the last Elim but in my mind wouldn't it be just as easy for those two teams to make a deal like that and then have one backstab the other before the final 2? From my perspective why would [strong team 1] want to fight [strong team 2] at the end if they could maybe make an agreement between each other and then backstab to face a potentially even weaker team at the end?
I don't know how any of these deals go in Elim though either, just seems like a toss up for the most part from my non-leadership perspective.
EDIT: I've just been given some context here that Mike and Stretch are famous for making Elim deals. My bad on that one, new to Elim!

I want to address the thing about me supposedly being involved in smearing marcinko now it's here in the forums, because I'm also sick of the anon messages people are sending about it to me and random faction members. I'm not the kind of person to orchestrate some kind of secret campaign to try to win this competition, nor do I use my faction members to do things like that on my behalf (anyone who knows ODB would know they enjoy doing the opposite of what I tell them anyway).

The first I heard about my so-called involvement in "rigging" anything in that team was when Yurig, this 100 day old faction member asked me why he was getting bountied for "just asking questions" in their leader campaign thread. I asked him to show me his "questions" and warned him they look like implied criticisms of Marcinko's leadership abilities and that they were gonna make a lot of people pissed with him.

I suggested to him he keep his head down and not get involved with politics at his stage in Torn. It's not the first time I've had to give him this advice. He's an extremely engaged player who reads every forum post and guide and chats random high profile players on the daily.

I have continued throughout to keep advising him to just stay out of it. It's unfortunate for me that no one believes that a 100 day old player would come up with these opinions or do all this work on his own, and I understand that, I wouldn't believe it either if I were Marcinko or others involved.

My only further involvement is he told me the list of leadership candidates and asked who I thought would be best. I told him I think Andrew's a good lead but I didn't know most of the other candidates. I don't think it's controversial to say Andrew is good at leadership, he's killing it lately with TNL. I wasn't even thinking at that stage about whether we'd ally with that team or not. I'm friends with Andrew, but he's definitely closer to other leads than he is to me, and if I'd had to guess I'd have thought he'd end up allied with WW teams and not in my own group.
I don't think I mentioned Marcinko at all. As Yurig always does with everything, he went off digging into everyone's forum history and posts about them, ran their heatmaps on bots, crazy amount of research. He made up his mind and then (as I learned later) started DMing his entire team to vote for Andrew.
When I heard about this I once again told him I thought he was setting himself up for a disaster by being so outspoken about his opinions.
Later I heard from Marcinko that apparently 2-3 others of my team members had made posts in their forum about Monarch previously rigging an elim, which I don't think was a concerted campaign either. We have 51 members in elim this year. I'd be surprised if there weren't a bunch of them making posts in most team forums, and the Monarch rigging of past eliminations is a popular topic people talk about. If they'd asked me I'd have told them I dont' think Marc was even involved in that, nor did I think M was doing it again this year, so it's barely even relevant to their team.

I've known Q for quite a while and I've never heard her say a mean thing about anyone, let alone do some sneaky shit like "send cronies" to do some underhanded shit. Hell, while I was there briefly, I suggested some war tactics that she objected to because of the potential appearance of being underhanded. She didn't want to win that way and I very much respect her and her leadership.
I don't know what sort of Kool-aid you been drinking but it's laced with some bullshit.
