Cheating, a build up of upkeep, duke loans off the top of my head
They're a faction owner. Faction vault doesn't record NW because it was never intended to be used as a personal vault, rather a community objective. Generally speaking you lose a lot of perks using a faction as a vault so that's the trade off.
The negative probably comes from an outstanding Duke loan. I previously had a negative net because I had a Duke loan for the merit while also having no assets but billions of dollars.
Everything points back to faction vault.
I would have joked "every time he advertises his website in the wrong forum or the Punchbag's team chat, he loses one Torn dollar", but Shooby's answer is the real one :)
