any way to toggle the map back how it used to be?

Use TornTools if on PC or TornPDA on phone to help you finding items.
However it is quite annoying, since the page takes longer to load, so let us hope they change it back soon.
or at least make it toggleable
It is toggleable with the side bar. On and off button right here...
