Almost certainly burglary
But if you read the linked guides, it is a bit advanced for you right now. It is better in the early stages to build up your crime skills and experience by doing the slightly lower level crimes.

Junkyard is the best
Just to piggy back on what EarthFireMonkey said:
There will be a time when you can make cash from crimes, but it'll be incidental income for a good long while. For now, just work on advancing through them - grab the uniques and awards.
Try to max each crime in order. After it's done, scamming by far gives the best rewards, up to 3.5 million with only a few dozens of nerve
Burglary became a lot more profitable for me lately, when they added the Arson items to Burglary targets.
Before that, Cracking was my most profitable crime in terms of $/nerve.
Burglary is a pain in the ass though. Fails all the time, even though I have everything before that at CS100, except Pickpocketing, which is at 96, and a NNB of 70.
How do you know when its maxed to move onto the next crime?
I'd suggest using the Emforus Crime Profitability Index to get an idea on what's good.
Side note - At the start I liked pick-pocketing although it took a while for me to get the hang of it.
When you reach 100% in each.
CE experience will still accrue higher
than 100% but it is just not visible.
Probably anecdotal, but I feel like searching junkyard gives good returns for the 2 nerve you spend. Not seeing that there at all
S4C junkyard is currently around 8k per nerve (if you just stick to doing it on Sunday evening/Monday morning when it is at 100% (or very close)
