This sucks

This is not a 'bug' but it is an 'issue' - this thread is called 'Bugs and Issues'

So, I have an Arson crime that needs less than 10% destruction of the target (a Cruise Line).

So I drank some booze to add more nerve so I could have at least 20N available to dampen the fire. I will need to change from igniting the fire to a dampner. This will have to be done quickly. But I am using a phone so thats a problem for a start. But I did select dampner, blanket, I saw the damn thing. But looking at the log, what the game registered was that I selected a completed clime to claim the reward and instead if dampening the game indicates I stiked the fire twice. When it actually deigned to accept I was using a blanket the damage was done and I had only enough nerve to use the blanket once. None if this is how it appeared to me while i tackled this crime. Why would I dribk alcohol to STOKE a fire twice that needed a max 10% destruction? It's bull shizzle.

I did select the blanket. But 10% max destruction means things have to be done quickly. Certainly not enough time to pause and check that the screen didn't refresh or whatever happened. Using a phone is finicky from the get go. Then if something has gone wrong, there isn't time for the display to catch up and tell you. So you click the blanket 2 or 3 times and don't know until it's too late that something went wrong.

It sucks because a bunch of things out of someone's control work against them.

What do you suggest I should have done in this situation? Bearing in mind there wasn't enough time to wait to ensure everything is as it should be? Hope for the best? Accept I.dont have the hardware for this particular crime? Go to the local library to use their computers to empty my Nerve bar?

Cruise Line is a 5 area arson, it took me nearly 20 seconds to reach 10% burn on 1 gasoline, so there was plenty of time. However, blanket wasn’t enough. Would’ve needed Sand or Extinguisher.

Twenty seconds? That is good to know, I will attempt it again if it shows up. The other concern is the lag caused by the phone and the confusion this causes - I selected the blanket but after things had played out it turned out that I mis-selected (the image of the blanket remained on screen after hover/select) but despite the blanket's image it turned out it had not been selected, so I ended up stoking with the lighter instead of using the blanket.
