Ever since yesterday, I feel like I can't do anything on my PC anymore without getting blocked.

 

Steps I just did:

  • Paused all my API keys
  • Removed most of my API requests
  • Disabled TamperMonkey

 

Then, I proceeded to do some crimes, and got blocked:

  • START: 15:16:03 - 11/01/26 You used 2 nerve successfully collecting the reward for the Hospital (Searing Irony) Arson job gaining $62,000
  • END: 15:16:48 - 11/01/26 You used 6 nerve successfully burgling a paper mill gaining 1x Empty Box, 10x Ammonia

Roughly around 20 events (and whatever that is in clicks, maybe 30?) in a minute, which isn't much if you do crimes.

 

It happens when I'm buying things from the item market, doing crimes, trades, taking druggies, busting, so pretty much anything that I do in Torn.

Would love some insight on why this is happening and how to stop it. As it stands, makes the game pretty much unplayable for me as I'm getting it at least every 3-5 minutes, even if I do a few actions inbetween afk'ing.

I had this happen to me about a week ago. Made it absolutely impossible to do pretty much anything, so much so I didn't log in for a couple of days. Asked about it on Torn's discord but no replies. It still isn't clear to me if was caused by scripts.

I think my issue might have been just adding more and more things that use my API. Since the API didn't return "too many requests" 24/7, this didn't cross my mind. I think rather than a minutely request limit, it may have been an hourly/daily request limit, but there's no way for me to know - hence why I want some clarification from devs.

 

I ended up removing all my API keys for about 12 hours and then reset and refactored what I had running. I also barely logged in for those 12 hours. I no longer have the errors, but would still like to prevent them, because it indeed made it absolutely impossible to do anything.
