Who I am as a player does not change anything about this thread. I have an argument, and evidence that supports it. If you do not agree, you can try to refute what I said, instead of attacking my character.

Also that event happened more than 8 months ago (thread started more than 2 months ago). That has nothing to do with current feddings or what I am discussing now.

If you have something to say about Aqua's previous thread, you can go do it there, instead of trying to justify Aqua's actions by bringing up what I did 8 months ago.

not to mention that theres plenty of ppl who knew it was questionable but kept going, and even more who knew this was wrong but said nothing. sounds like a certain rule that was implemented…

Shat has been using it for over a year, and supposedly 39X doesn't have one but they were doing things that looked like websocket mugs back when the item market was first revamped. Mr_Disaster only got access to a bot back in October/September time frame.

I honestly have no clue how Mr_Disaster got banned without aquagloop also getting banned. I literally cannot understand how or why one could get banned and not the other.

Is it legal to write and sell illegal scripts to other users and potentially even trick them into getting fedded for using them?

It seems to me that this issue exists strictly because people are smart.

They're being caught up by their own hubris trying to ride the line of legality harder than a stripper does a pole. The advantages, if they succeed, seem more worthwhile to them than not going all-in.

Fans of the NHL might know of a joke that goes around. When a player has a hearing with the Dept of Player Safety for disciplinary stuff, fans often jokes that the NHL just spins a wheel and whatever it lands on is the punishment. I feel like Torn utilizes the same wheel

I think it would have been aquas responsibility (whoever else in case of the other bots, if warned) to relay that warning on to the users of their bot.

The fact he had the opportunity to report names, rather than relay that warning before started that witch hunting, makes it seem like torn just wanted names to strike and make a bigger deal out of this.

Sure, nobody is going to complain about the biggest abusers being fedded, but I could imagine that more than one if the guys in this scenario was just using a mug bot to use a mugbot, not super tech savvy, and had never been told and therefor wouldn't know it was illegal.

I would be pissed if I got fedded out of the blue without fair warning over somebody elses creation when it comes out that they were aware.

This game needs CHANGE in its policing, it needs CONSISTENCY and JUSTICE.

I'm complaining because Disaster didn't deserve this. No one seems to give a shit because "muggers bad", but Disaster legitimately was trying his best to work within the confines of the rules. And that dude is legitimately the best player I've ever seen in torn for almost all aspects of the game, not just mugging, on top of just being a great guy in general, and the community is missing out by him not being a member. He's losing years of hard work and time put into this community without so much as a warning for something he actively asked staff whether or not he was allowed to do. How is that fair? He's the guy that was just using the mug bot to use a mug bot, on top of hundreds of hours of non-mugbot activity to make money.
