Don't think it needs to be that nuclear, there just needs to be some accountability.
Did the racing scripters get advanced warning so they could stop using? Probably not, it's in the same vein as leaking comittee info.
It's purely because they have some scripting knowledge that they are held in higher regards by certain staff members, and it's really not OK in my eyes, but again who am I? Not a script wizard so my opinion probably doesn't matter.
Not like I'm calling for the guys ban, just a reason would be nice although there's probably a very good and valid reason why bogie is not divulging that information, as much as I disagree with some of his decisions, when it comes to big scandals like this he usually has good reason for his decisions and lack of transparency on certain details.
The staff member used their privileged position as a staff member to warn a player who was doing something illegal and worthy of a game ban that a ban was coming and they should stop doing that illegal thing, not only does that staff member 100% deserve to have their staff role removed but that staff member 100% deserves a permanent game ban for abetting

Brizo was the bot developer who created the custom illegal script that was being used by the SHAT team members who were jailed, FWIW.
We are investigating and working with others who were also involved, particularly those who were requesting the script from aquagloop despite knowing of the illegal possibilities so they could personally continue using it despite them stating to members it was a violation. (They refused)
The actions taken to this point reflect the usage of said script even after knowing it was illegal and continuing to do so and/or creating technically legal scripts but then utilizing them in an illegal fashion (i.e. - as splent said - monitoring a single active websocket on a page you're viewing, but then taking it further to use that same concept to monitor dozens you are not actively viewing, going from legal to illegal).
We do not want to discourage players coming forward when it comes to reports, nor do we want to potentially demonize creators who's programs were used in an illegal manner.

Cool, so there's a direct precedent for the developer who was also using the script getting fedded.

Honestly, these cheaters always seem to run in the same groups, it's almost like there's a culture of excusing cheating and surprise surprise, staff are complicit in it. I think it's time we started deleting HOF factions for housing cheaters. Not for any particular benefit to myself or anything.
So Brizo creates a script that is knowingly illegal and members of their faction knowingly use that illegal script. Aquagloop creates a script, is told it's illegal and then informs staff when people inquire about using it? Not exactly the same situation is it.
Don't get me wrong, I think both should be fedded but there's clearly differences here.

Seems people were also asking Aqua for the script and he refused to supply it on the basis it could be illegal.
And I'd assume with 100m total mugged they weren't using the script themselves, which is the most hilarious thing to me, all these people who've been fedded haven't really generated anything worth cheating for, people make more money mugging poker tables so not only have they cheated, they've been fedded for playing the game worse than people play it legitimately.
