Not going to lie, I’ve never had a problem with the guy, but I know they defintely have their own way of playing Torn. I suggest if you plan on buying something in bulk, in the future, hitting up a trusted trader.

Torn has plenty of mechanics that will protect you from being mugged.
I don't blame people for getting a discount on their items if the seller makes it easy to do so. Kinda dumb not to.

It's called a sell mug. High value items like FHCs and EDVDs that people usually buy 5 or 9 of at a time are sold in stacks smaller than the expected amount in order to mug the remaining cash on hand.
Use a ghost trade to hold your cash and only pull the exact amount right before you buy. Deposit any remaining money. To buy the next item, count to a random number before withdrawing more money to wait for the mug.
