I highly suggest you read the Tutorials & guides section starting with

 

Baldr's Basic Advice

 

Your bread and butter money maker early game is going to be buying your 100 item daily limit (in the city) in bits n bobs with either the plushies, or bottles of beer, and selling them to the item market, or a reputable trader. Also joining a faction, and participating in ranked wars, and level 1 organised crimes is a good one too.

 

Also, begging in the forums is honestly going to have the opposite effect you think it might. I'd also suggest staying away from global chat as a new player, it's gonna draw unwanted attention from people.

 

Any questions you might have, the Questions and Answers forum will be the best place to go. General Discussion is, as the kids would say "built differently"

 

Good luck, and most importantly, have fun. Torn is a marathon, not a sprint.
