No idea. I don't know if it's to get attention to get something through to other people, don't know if it's some sort of code, don't know if he was just celebrating.
After watching this video, what is the 50% that is Alex’s fault?
Physically confronting the police officer after he shoved someone else, doing so while carrying a gun and actively resisting being apprehended.
“While carrying a firearm” you mean exercising his second amendment rights? Why should that make you anymore likely to be shot, he didn’t brandish it.
That is correct. But just because something is legal, it doesn't mean it is responsible or wise. He wasn't just minding his own business or filming from a distance. He actively and voluntarily engaged in a physical confrontation with a law enforcement officer and then resisted arrest. While carrying a gun. He had many options to chose from, he chose the most dangerous ones.
But your point is that simply carrying a gun somehow contributed as a "poor move" or something he shouldn't have done that contributed to his death along with everything else when all he was doing was exercising his constitutional right.
It did contribute when he put himself in harm's way. It wasn't wrong to carry a gun, but if you gonna do something that it is intuitive to get you detained and then resist being detained, you should be mindful of the circumstances you created.
2A defenders doing mental gymnastics trying to argue the victim was partially to blame for having a concealed weapon. There's no excuse for this shooting, it was cold blooded murder.
