I've yet to meet anyone that thinks 1 click busting/bail is fair (though some like it existing) But that doesn't use API.

Nothing like have spent over 2 months of total time on Torn between all your accounts just to catch a ban for 2 weeks for violating one of the most well known rules on Torn.

You are completely missing the point what kind of nerf we want.

If a players is not watching market/items by themselves then they just cant know who sold what for how much value. No ammount of delay removes this.

That's exactly what it does, yes. Staff are okay with it. There's an argument that ones expanding it and the other confirming is an action as if that's different from a user end experience. Even takes time to load the confirmation. 

Its literally against the rules, but somehow ok.

I don't see this issue as solvable, even without API, unless some game mechanics change. Just because people didn't have any scripts that read the screen at the time, doesn't mean that they couldn't. I know, I know, screen scraping is illegal... But the devs have just semi confirmed that it is difficult to monitor. We know what is going to happen next, don't we?

Only making more than 1 request per click is against the rules. To my knowledge, only the bust itself is a request, the first click is a local bit of code which doesn't make a request.

Like I said. Rules lawyers when it is no different on the user end experience. There's rules and spirit of the rules, yeah you can rules lawyer it but it's still against the spirit of the rule even if staff and the ones making it disagree.

I’m starting to think understanding the rules is a TNL wide problem.

1 click process somehow creates the same result as an unmodified native 2 click process.

Is that what the rules say? Or do they say 1 request per click? Go off and do some reading 

You can argue it’s a silly distinction, which I would probably agree but it’s certainly not against the rules.

This ^^^ it should always 100% be the case that activity and hard work should be rewarded. Mugging shouldnt amount to who has the quickest mugbots. It should be a result of putting in time and finding a target. Not a thousand users getting pinged at the same time and who ever had the fastest Internet connection gets the mug. There is no skill involved at all. The idiots who forget to hosp will still be there. They'll still get mugged. It would just be nice if the people manually looking get rewarded.

Imposing an existing timer on another minor API hardly feels like a “Major development change to API” unfortunately 

Set all API to random between 1 second and 30 minutes 🍿

Then won't need to ban anyone. No one will have any clue what anyone else is doing.
