Pretty sure No Reserve counts as a level 6. So you flipped a coin 10 times and got 4 heads 6 tails, that's not unusual.

I can see both sides of it.
I can understand wanting to just spawn in the one crime that makes the most money. But just doing that crime kind of defeats the purpose of the other crimes and just becomes kinda boring.
At the same time I don’t think the current Scope system is a good solution either. It still just RNG just a different flavor of it. And there is no way to recycle scope. A way to recycle scope from unwanted OCs (even if you only got half or less of what scope was invested) would help a lot.
Alternatively, allow selected spawns but increase the difficulty of OCs. By a lot. Allowing a variety of choices based on the skill level of the players but making it a much slower process to reach the top.
Torn is marketed as a long game and many HOF guys have proved it by playing 10+ years. But OC 2.0 was released last year and we are already doing 10s.
This may not be a popular pitch but the scope system sucks massive alan the donkey balls.
As many have stated already, it's also a huge missed opportunity to further utilize the criminality branch of faction upgrades for increased CPRs, payouts, scope production, or whatever else. And a missed opportunity for further educations to help towards specific roles.
Has anyone else noticed an improvement with their scope levels? We have 4x as much scope as we used to, which means we are spawning less OCs. That must mean that the RNG has gotten better.
I'm wondering if it was broken, or simply swapping those Level 5 and 6 OCs resolved the issue?
I feel like they noticed a problem and fixed it, but I can't prove it.
With the exception of T10 chain not spawning at all since the update, no improvements elsewhere in RNG. Still got about a 90% observed chance to get BFTP
I agree with this suggestion. I had an idea to make scenario recycling a part of a new education branch, or maybe even a company special, but allowing players to recycle or reroll a spawned OC would be great in general
Perhaps allow 1 reroll per scenario spawned for half of the initial scope, or reroll a scenario for 50% more scope but its guaranteed to be a different scenario from the same pool. Or do different spawning pools that cost different scope IE 2 to spawn Any Simple Assignment, 3 scope to specifically spawn a lvl 3 and 4 for lvl 4.
Firewalk virus at 19 mill now.
Why? Just why?
Money sink mate, gotta combat the inflation🤣🤣
The crime is hardly profitable. But it is not like we have a way around it.
Everybody doing OC crimes are trapped into this "money sink".
New tool: Angle Grinder.
New Crime or OC?
New OC, likely 1-2 months out.
Saddest part is it doesn't even benefit the economy as a sink aside from market fees.
OC creates cash as the 'faucet' -> Firewalk cash just goes to other players which still circulates. Virus gets consumed but since they weren't created as a result of a purchase from a Torn shop it doesn't change anything.
It makes no sense from a design perspective to force people into the RNG grinder and then fleece them with super high priced mats for certain crimes, other than to cap overall income for the high end players, that are able to do the higher level OC's consistently. I get the reasoning behind it, but it doesn't mean I or many others like myself like it. It is ultimately shit and unrewarding to be forced to do lower profit crimes, when you've grinded years and spent billions building up your ability to do the more difficult scenarios.
I repeat myself yet again, if you want to keep the damn system at least give us any of these options:
- Choose specific scenarios at a higher scope cost
- Let us cancel a spawned scenario and get some of the scope back
- Keep the lower tier crimes as is - RNG spawn via scope and make ONLY the elaborate scenarios selectable at a higher scope cost
Even though I hate hate hate agreeing with anything you say, this idea is not bad. Just make a reroll option where you can, for minimal scope, reroll to a guaranteed "OTHER" scenario in the same batch. Ched keeps his RNG, adds some more RNG, and people hate him a tiny fraction less.
Left to go to another firm temporarily
All my cprs for break the bank went down 2-3
The oc I joined before I left stayed at its join number (thief #1 at 75)
But now for any new break the bank jobs thief is showing up as 72 and muscle went from 73 to 70
HI mate,
Mine did the same, but went back up after completing recruit status in the new law firm
Cause I don't have any left to prevent the price from rocketing up...
wtf???
Trust me theres no issue here! It's just an issue with how factions are doing OC's I tell ya!
Ched doesnt care anyway, prices being on the rise for months since the demand is much higher than the supply ( due to the long time to make one). This could be easily avoiding by adding them temporarily abroad like them did with some other mats before(idc if they plan to add to a future crime, the issue is now). But again he doesnt care.
